“Part of the artistic journey is connecting with something that is universal.” - Rick Rubin
Art allows us to make sense of the world. It is a form of communication and self-expression that challenges, evokes and connects across languages, generations and cultures.
You don’t need to be a curator or art collector to experience and enjoy art, and it’s my goal to make art accessible to all.
The Artist
Hayley Selch (b. 1991) is a naturally curious child-at-heart with a vivid imagination and a creative streak a mile wide. Born & raised in Southern California, she embodies the laid-back chill vibe of her West Coast roots.
Like so many with ADHD, she spent years trying to “fit the mold” and put the proverbial lid on her creativity. After going through a few months of deeply personal and life changing events, she said yes to herself, grabbed a few canvas boards & a paint set from Target, and went for it.
What started as a hobby, quickly turned into much more. Entirely self-taught, she uses painting as a form of self-expression and self-exploration.
After a decade in New York City, she packed up and headed to Colorado, where she lives with her partner Todd, and their dog, Rooney. When she’s not painting, you can find her snowboarding, running, cooking or working as a marketing & media consultant.
